I am a Chief Specialist in Bio-based Solutions at LAB University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and I hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Aalto University. I specialise in process design and modelling, techno-economic analysis, and life cycle assessment of sustainable industrial processes. My work focuses on converting bio-based resources, industrial side streams, and waste materials into higher-value fuels, chemicals, and materials. By integrating technical, economic, and environmental assessments at the early stages of technology development, I support the development and scale-up of resource-efficient and circular solutions. I also contribute to regional development in Finland through research, development, and innovation activities, EU funding proposals, and collaboration with companies, research organisations, and regional stakeholders. My work contributes to the Nordic circular economy through resource-efficient biorefineries, side-stream valorisation, circular materials, and the industrial implementation of sustainable technologies.
